How to measure your dog?

• A classic tailor's tape measure is all you need for measuring.
• Wait until your dog is resting, and measure them in their favourite position.
• Measure the length from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail.
• So your dog can comfortably turn around in the bed, add an extra 10–20 cm.

Bed size

A dog bed must be cosy, yet spacious at the same time. It must not be too small, so that your dog is comfortable enough even when sprawled out. At the same time, a bed that is too large is not suitable either, as it does not provide a sufficient sense of security. How do you measure your dog and choose the ideal bed based on their dimensions?

How to choose the right size of dog bed?

The right bed size is crucial. Its ideal dimensions take into account not only the size of the dog itself, but also their resting habits. Some furry friends like to sleep curled up in a ball, while others prefer to stretch out their paws.

A bed for small dogs is usually 40 to 60 cm in length. It suits mini and small dog breeds, such as the Bichon Frise, Yorkshire Terrier, Havanese, Chihuahua, Jack Russell Terrier, Miniature Dachshund, Miniature Pinscher, Pomeranian and others.

A bed for medium-sized dogs is usually 60 to 80 cm in length. It is suitable for medium-sized dog breeds, such as the Beagle, Cocker Spaniel, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Shetland Sheepdog, Bull Terrier, Parson Russell Terrier, English Bulldog, Poodle and others.

A bed for large dogs is usually over 80 cm in length. Boxers, Border Collies, Dobermanns, Greyhounds, Labradors and Golden Retrievers, Setters, Pointers, Rottweilers, Shepherds, Great Danes and other large dog breeds will love relaxing in it.

Tip: If you are choosing a bed for a puppy, it is better to go for a smaller one first and expect that your puppy will outgrow it and you will need to buy a bigger one later. Very small puppies especially need the sense of security that, until recently, was provided by their mother. A bed that is too large could unnecessarily stress them out.

How to fluff up the bed

We supply your pet's bed in a vacuum-packed state for efficient storage and transport.

• Carefully open the bed's packaging and remove it from the vacuum packaging. The bed should gradually regain its full shape and volume.

• For optimal comfort, air out the inner materials. Gently stretch the inner material of the bed through the outer layer so that air gets between the individual inner layers, while shaping it into the required form so that it matches the shape shown at the time of purchase. Please repeat this process at least 4 times within 24 hours.

• To achieve the optimal shape and comfort, leave the bed spread out on a flat, firm surface for at least 24 hours

How to care for it

These care instructions are intended for a product made of polyester + PP cotton with hollow fibre, or another filling material. The product is characterised by high-quality materials and excellent workmanship. The material has a very pleasant long, medium or short pile and is fitted with a non-slip underside for better stability.

The following instructions will help you keep the product in the best possible condition:

• Regular cleaning: We recommend regularly removing dust and dirt from the surface of the product using a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner.

• Hand cleaning: To remove stains or localised dirt, use a soft sponge or cloth dampened with warm water and a small amount of mild detergent. After cleaning, rinse the bed and leave it to dry.

• Machine washing: The product can be machine washed at 30°C. Before washing, carefully read the label and follow the manufacturer's instructions. We recommend using mild detergents.

• Drying: Leave the product to dry naturally, or tumble dry on a low heat setting. Avoid high temperatures to prevent damage to the fibres.

• Storage: Store the product in a dry place to prevent mould from forming. Do not use chemical cleaning agents or harsh chemicals, as they could damage the material.

By following these instructions, you will ensure a long service life and preserve the properties of your purchased product.
