Frequently asked questions
How to measure a dog correctly?
How to measure a dog?
When buying clothes, you need to choose the right size. The outfit will not restrict your dog's movement in any way, it will be comfortable for them, and the purpose of the outfit will fulfil the right functions. So you need to measure your dog correctly, as each manufacturer has its own size charts.
When choosing an outfit, chest circumference is the most important, followed by back length and neck circumference.
- Measure your dog's back length from the base of the neck to the tail.
- Neck circumference determines whether the outfit will be comfortable for your dog. If the neck circumference of the outfit is too tight, the dog will have great difficulty breathing. Therefore, we recommend choosing an outfit with a slightly (2-3 cm) larger neck circumference than your dog has.
- Measure your dog's chest at the widest point, which is usually right behind the front legs. As mentioned above, chest circumference is the most important factor when choosing an outfit. Choose an outfit for your dog so that it does not restrict their movement. We recommend choosing a chest circumference on the outfit about 2 cm larger than your dog's actual chest circumference.
